Product information "China Yellow Tea Huang Xiao Cha"

The Huang Xiao Cha batch comes from the Huoshan region, in Anhui province. These teas are only produced in China from May to June.
As the name suggests, the tea is yellow in colour - both the leaves and the infusion. This yellowing is achieved through an additional step during production. The process is called "Sealed Yellowing", which is a slow oxidation process of tea polyphenols (catechins).
This unique step makes the tea mild and light yellow in colour.
