Background information on Ayurvedic teachings:
The aim of Ayurvedic teaching is to achieve an inner balance of the 3 functional principles (doshas) and thus support the natural well-being and functioning of all organs.
The Doshas are subdivided as follows:

VATA - assignment of the elements ether and air - is responsible for all movement processes in the body as well as for the nervous system and breathing. Vata tea reduces the inner Vata, which often builds up during stress, overwork, before falling asleep and in the cold season.

PITTA - association of the elements fire and water - regulates the metabolism, digestion and body temperature. Pitta tea balances an increased Pitta and has a cooling and soothing effect. Pitta products are especially recommended in summer, as well as in cases of strong thirst and appetite.

KAPHA - association of the elements earth and water - balances the fluid balance and gives the body stability and firmness. Kapha tea reduces the inner Kapha, which often manifests itself in a feeling of sluggishness. This tea is particularly suitable for people who tend to have a slow metabolism or are overweight, and generally in damp and cold weather.
