The tea grows on volcanic soil and is traditionally produced with the Fukamushicha method "deep steamed". Before harvesting, the tea leaves are shaded for 6 days.
This is followed by rolling, drying and sorting, and finally roasting. This creates a particularly intense and nuanced tea flavour.
